Saving Amy to Premiere at the Waldon

The Waldon Theater in downtown Calgary is proud to present Saving Amy, a heartwarming play written and directed by Ted Gigerson. The play tells the true story of Amy Fisher, a woman who rises above the challenge of being born blind to become the first female mayor of her hometown.

Playwright Ted Giberson is truly excited about the play’s upcoming premiere on August 24. Saving Amy is the third play he has written based on Maya Adani’s novels. The Lonely Valley was shown two months ago at the Palace Theater on Winston Avenue and, last year, Donald the Overachiever prmiered at the Waldon Theather. “During my 25 years  as a playwright, I have never written a script as exciting as this one,” Gilberson said during an interview on WKRT radio yesterday.

This stage performance promises to bring both excitement and inspiration. Shows will be for three nights only, August 24, 25 and 26, at 7:30. Hello,

I am a big fan of Maya Adani’s novels. I have read all six of her best-selling novels, but I have never seen a stage performance of her stories. Of course, I had hoped to watch Saving Amy on opening night, but since I will be away at a conference at that time, I would like to reserve a seat for the very last performance. I prefer  either a balcony seat  somewhere in the back row of the general seating area.

I will drop by the theater tomorrow during my luch time to pay for and pick up my ticket in person. The company where I work, Grisham Financials, is only five-minute walk from your ticket office.

Slalom has been our biggest client for the past 10 years, so we hope to create a successful campaign for the company.
